A Prayer from Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity

So I've recently been introduced to the Christian mystics and this excerpt from a prayer by Blessed Elizabeth of the Trinity really spoke to me this morning. I pray that I grow to love God as fervently as my sister did when she was on this side of eternity. O consuming Fire,Spirit of Love,"come upon me,"and create in my soul a kind of incarnation of the Word:that I may be another humanity for Himin which He may renew His whole mysteryAnd You, O Father,9bend lovingly over Your poor little creature,"cover her with Your shadow,"seeing in her onlythe "Beloved in whom You are well pleased."
